Consultant

As a Consultant, you are typically promoted from the Associate Consultant level after demonstrating excellent data analysis, problem solving and communication skills, and delivering high quality, reliable work.  While Associate Consultants and Consultants are involved in similar work, as a consultant you will be responsible for more complex tasks and will begin to have more face-to-face client interaction.

Typical Roles:
Consultants receive a combination of formal and informal training, interacting with Managers and Vice Presidents on a daily basis.  You will utilize tools and techniques developed in the Associate Consultant training programs and will deliver analysis to the rest of the project team.  In addition, you may take the lead in data collection and become involved in client interviews.  You will be expected to lead more complex market research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, process analysis and benchmarking.  Client interaction will also become more frequent.

In a Consultant role, you will be heavily involved in recent graduate recruiting, as well as in supporting internal practice development initiatives, such as leading edge research efforts and practice capability development.  You are relied upon for taking the initiative and applying creativity, diligence and intellectual curiosity.

Success:
Success will be based upon your continued ability to embrace CAST’s core values around teamwork and work ethic, as well as your ability to lead complex problem solving and analytical efforts, as well as to communicate effectively.  Your success will also depend upon your ability to interface with client and CAST project team members.
