Hiring Process - Recent Graduates CAST values a variety of experiences, so recent graduates join us with diverse educational backgrounds, from accounting to history to philosophy. Associate Consultants and Consultants at CAST provide much of the in-depth analysis behind the high impact solutions we provide, so all recent graduate hires are highly analytical and extremely motivated. We are dedicated to the development of each consultant through continued training and guidance from a senior level mentor. In addition, CAST firmly believes in the value of exposing new and less experienced professionals to many of the firm’s practice areas in a variety of capacities. As such, Associate Consultants and Consultants have the opportunity to work with senior CAST practitioners, and acquire substantial hands-on experience in delivering the highest quality of services and solutions to our clients. This enables rapid professional growth that cannot be matched in most consulting organizations.
Successful candidates who have recently completed undergraduate and graduate programs typically possess:
- High levels of academic and extra-curricular achievement
- Relentless motivation, strong work ethic, high degree of integrity and commitment to excellence
- Excellent analytical skills
- An independent nature while maintaining a team orientation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Each spring and fall, CAST recruits undergraduate and graduate students from several universities to join our firm. Recruiting begins with a review of the candidate’s resume, cover letter and transcript. These will typically be submitted via the candidate’s school on-campus recruiting program (e.g., MonsterTrak, Symplicity, etc.). If CAST does not actively recruit at your school, please send your resume, cover letter and transcript to our Recent Graduate Recruiting Coordinator at recruiting@castconsultants.com.
If, after an initial review of your documentation, we feel you have the qualities we are seeking, we will contact you to initiate the interview process. The Recent Graduate interview process typically progesses as follows:
- A first round interview is conducted either on campus or via the telephone. During this interview, the candidate must be prepared for a case and fit interview.
- Second round conversations are comprised of optional phone discussions with both senior level CAST representatives and current Associate Consultants.
- Final round interviews are held at CAST’s Los Angeles headquarters where candidates will spend the day meeting with several CAST consultants in order to obtain a more complete understanding of the position and our firm.
- Job offers are extended.
